Many residents have fond memories of Bremen’s annual Oktoberfest, which ran from 1977 through 1991. The festival featured live German music, food, craft vendors, a beer garden, and competitions of all sorts, including a bed race and a coloring contest.
Last year, as part of the Indiana Bicentennial celebration, we brought back Oktoberfest with new additions like a longboard (skateboard) race, cornhole tournament, and entertainment from a wide range of musical performers. The festival was a terrific success and inspired a great deal of interest by vendors and local residents to turn it into an annual event again.
We hope you will join us in honoring our shared heritage and partnering to make our Good Town even better!
